Dear brave soul,
Years ago, I came across the Metta—a meditative prayer rooted in Indian loving-kindness practice.
I remember exactly where I found it… in a magazine I absolutely adored called Happinez.
That magazine was a feast for the eyes, soul, and mind. The colours, the photography, the thoughtful words—it was pure beauty.
And nestled within its pages, there it was: the Metta prayer.
Simple, powerful, and so full of compassion. I fell in love with it instantly.
And today, I offer a version of it—crafted for you and for me.
For the women and not only who need to begin again.
Who have crossed borders, lost homes, or been betrayed by the ones they trusted most.
This prayer is for those standing at the edge of what was… and stepping into what might be.
Let this be a balm for your heart—a quiet moment of hope and self-kindness.
The truth is that sometimes life throws so many curveballs our way that we forget who we are—how deeply we’ve loved, how fiercely we’ve tried.
And in those quiet, aching moments, it might feel strange—maybe even unfamiliar—to offer ourselves kindness.
But this is exactly the moment to do so.
This is the moment to pause, breathe, and say something gentle to ourselves.
It’s the right time to begin again.
For the women who’ve moved countries, left old lives behind,
For those who’ve been betrayed by the ones they trusted most,
For the women rising from heartbreak,
This prayer is for you.
Prayer
May you find rest in your own breath,
a home within your heart, even when the world feels foreign.
May you remember who you are beneath the pain—
the wild, radiant soul who survived,
and now begins again.
May you feel loved—
even when those you loved could not stay true.
May the betrayal lose its grip,
and the truth of your worth rise higher.
May you grow roots in new soil,
with friendships that nourish,
and moments that soften the ache of loneliness.
May you forgive yourself for all the ways you tried to hold on.
May you bless the broken pieces for all they taught you.
May your mornings bring peace.
May your nights bring dreams untouched by sorrow.
May your days be filled with signs—you are on the right path.
May you laugh again, fully.
May your voice be heard and held.
May your story matter, just as it is.
May you find beauty in places you never thought to look,
and joy in the simple acts of reclaiming your life.
May you love yourself fiercely,
trust your inner compass,
and carry your light forward,
even when the way ahead is unclear.
May you remember,
you are not alone.
You are held by every woman
who’s ever risen from ashes,
who’s ever dared to begin again.
May you be well.
May you be safe.
May you be strong.
May you be free.
Until next time, be well!
