Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today we continue what is, for now, a monologue—though I hope it soon becomes a dialogue—about the plague of normalised language. Words that slip unnoticed into our daily lives and gradually etch themselves into the collective memory like an invisible burn, leaving scars only those with a special kind of scanner can truly see.
But first, let’s talk figures, shall we? These examples come from the UK, but I suspect the story isn’t so different in other so-called Western nations.
📊 Prevalence & Impact
65% of UK workers reported burnout symptoms in the past three months—equating to over 16 million full-time employees.
77% experienced at least one sign of burnout in the last year. 25% said their sick leave was due to it.
A staggering 92% have suffered from burnout or job-related stress during their working life. 37% are currently struggling—nearly double the 19% reported in 2022.
It’s time to clap, isn’t it? Yes, yes, let’s give a round of applause.
Why? Because this didn’t happen overnight.
This is the result of decades of erosion—slow, subtle, and systemic.
People were asked to do more. Push harder. Take on extra responsibilities—out of fear, out of peer pressure, out of survival. Then came the glorified distractions: running clubs, charity events, personal branding, being a “good citizen” by doing, doing, doing… Even free time was hijacked by more layers of performance.
Bit by bit, our instincts were overridden.
We stopped listening to our inner compass and instead deferred to the outside world: to apps, to influencers, to trends telling us what’s “good” for us.
We outsourced our power. And in doing so… we lost ourselves.
Multitasking became a badge of honour. Constant busyness, a currency of worth. But behind it? Brainwashing. Soul exhaustion. A slow bleed of life force.
And now, in 2025, we are witnessing the consequences of 50–60 years of systemic conditioning.
And still, the system dares to squeeze us further.
What does society offer in exchange?
Normalization.
“Oh, you suffer from burnout? You’re not alone. Don’t worry. Everyone feels like this.”
Seriously? This is meant to soothe us?
Perhaps it brings temporary camaraderie—but it doesn’t heal. It doesn’t change the system.
We must sound the alarm.
We must examine the roots, not just the symptoms.
The modern work culture is not sane. It’s not humane. And the more people wake up to the truth—that it’s not them who are broken, but the system that is breaking them—the more we can connect and demand change.
True transformation starts from the bottom up, like any real revolution.
But first, we must be willing to name what’s happening:
The system abuses you.
The system discards you.
And it does so without even flinching.
👉 I invite you to watch this video, spoken from the heart and drawn from personal experience.
This isn’t just data—it’s lived reality. I share it not as an expert, but as someone who has stood in the storm, and is still standing.
If you’ve felt unseen, unheard, or used by a system that treats you like a resource instead of a human being—this is for you.
Let’s open the conversation. Let’s speak what’s true. Let’s begin to reconnect with what’s real, together.
Until next time, be well.

In this piece, I reflect on a moment that should have been a celebration of life — my birthday. Yet, for years, it was another stage in my ongoing battle with the narcissism that overshadowed my existence.
