Thank you - I’ve been deep in the throws of grief on top of years of unprocessed grief and it’s led to health issues chronic pain etc - doing my best to allow it now
I am so pleased it resonated with you! I suddenly realised when I pulled the card that most of my life I ve been denied the right to grieve, constantly needing to put a brave face and fight another fire! It is so unfair … writing about it I think is a way forward and self compassion which was missing in my life as well! It is all connected! Big hug dear soul!
You're right Karina, unprocessed or unexpressed grief leaves a lasting impact. I grew up with narcs too and it makes you so unsure of who to trust and who not to.
My art-journalling and creative reflective practice has helped so much with working through my issues. Love how you talk about the power of it here.
It does indeed Sabrina! It does and it is like a ticking bomb inside the body! And there are usually a few bombs not only one. Trust is an issue and sometimes trust goes where it shouldn’t because our “compass” is distorted ..it is as if a metallic knife is placed near the compass and north becomes south and west becomes east - metaphorically speaking! Hmmm I have to say I am not surprised you also had a narc in your life. This is why you write the way you write and explore the avenues you are exploring! The narc is … a terminator really … tragic souls who destroy the ones around them. Narcissistic abuse is a topic very very few people understand and healing from its effects is a lifelong journey. I am passionate about the topic and plan to write more in depth on the blog. The topic is sensitive and it opens the field for various comments but I believe we need to tell the stories and in this way help others.
Dear Sabrina thank you for your reply and it is so comforting to know that you understand. Yes we might find an exercise related to my metaphor! I believe metaphors sometimes reach part of the unconscious where things are processes in a different way. When I trained as a hypnotherapist and solution focused therapist I used a lot of metaphors and learnt to appreciate their poetic and healing values! I have reached a point where sharing what narcs do to the people around them is a must. I don t know about you but I am trying to find a purpose to the traumatic life and maybe it is in order to help others. It is good to join forces maybe - in our individual way - and share some light on this taboo topic.
Very similar to me Karina. I had early childhood trauma and stressful attachments. Spent most of my life really unhappy until I got the therapy and help I needed.
Joining forces for good to shine a light on it and recovery sounds awesome!
I needed this one today, thank you. I've had some long-buried grief recently come pouring out. I like the idea of pulling an oracle card to guide healing ✨
I have a Moonology deck by Yasmin Boland that I love, particularly during new moons and full moons. I also have an Animal Medicine Card deck and book with teachings and guidance based in Indigenous wisdom and knowledge that is really beautiful. It's by Jamie Sams and David Carson.

100% Karina. I love your knife and compass analogy. Ooh there's a deeper dive art exercise in this somewhere.
Keep doing what you're doing and shedding light on narc abuse.
We need more people to know we're not at fault.
