ABOUT — Straight Talk™
Welcome — truly.
If you’ve ever survived the wrong people, carried too much alone, or wondered whether life can feel gentler than it does right now… this space is for you.
Straight Talk™ is a place for anyone rebuilding a life from the inside out — with honesty, art, insight, and the courage to face what once felt unspeakable.
What I Write About
Here, I explore what happens after the breaking point:
recovering from narcissistic abuse
rebuilding identity and inner safety
navigating trauma with softness
healing through creativity, art, and story
finding meaning after emotional or financial devastation
reclaiming the self the world tried to silence
Readers often tell me,
“Your writing makes me exhale.”
If that’s what you’re longing for, stay.
🌿 Why This Space Exists
My life cracked open more than once.
Surviving narcissistic abuse, experiencing betrayal, rebuilding across countries and cultures, navigating intergenerational wounds and financial storms — these weren’t chapters I chose.
But they taught me what textbooks never could.
I learned to turn pain into expression, expression into insight, and insight into freedom.
I write from that place — where lived experience meets gentleness — to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that got muted along the way.
Not to advise from above, but to walk beside you.

🌿 About Me
I’m Corinne Stupu Thomas (Dip. Hyp. Psych.) — artist, trauma recovery coach, and founder of Straight Talk™.
My work blends:
somatic grounding
expressive arts
metaphor and story
mind–body practices
intuitive, gentle principles inspired by Milton Erickson
Creativity isn’t a hobby for me — it’s a lifeline.
Especially painting geishas and maikos, where sorrow and strength meet in colour.
Born in Bucharest, shaped by Eastern European resilience and old-world stories, I now live in East Sussex. I practice Tai Chi, read obsessively, travel lightly, and carry a sketchbook everywhere.
Life has handed me storms.
It never took my ability to rise.
🌿 If you feel at home here…
Stay. Read. Breathe.
And if you ever want deeper support, you’ll find everything on the Work With Me page — quietly waiting for when you’re ready.
With warmth, art, and steady truth,
Corinne 🌿
