One must conclude that ways of doing things which last through generational ages, because of stories still being passed down such as the one you tell here so well, must be based upon an underlying truth. There's no backbone, no shared morality, no connection to ancestral wisdom. In my view, this is one of the darker consequences of globalisation. It has already weakened much of Western Europe, and now it’s pushing hard to do the same in Eastern Europe.
