Regrettably it takes personal or community participation in a war to make you think and think again before engaging in another war, you have to witness the direct impact, the destruction, the hopelessness of it all to make you force yourself to find another way forward - or to force those who can make such decisions to do so. Why is it that the USA under Biden et al seems to be possessed by fighting - as long as its on other peoples lands and its other peoples who suffer - how often does one read the open, yes open, comments of US politicians that the war in Ukraine is "very cheap" for the USA.
