I’m tempted to be philosophical and say that life is like traveling on a cruise ship or a decent-sized boat. No, you don’t need to imagine a luxurious one—just a regular one will do to get our imagination going. You're allowed to visit certain areas and not others, you eat in designated places, and you travel until you reach a particular port. There, you disembark and spend several years on an island. You say goodbye to some people and hello to new ones. After some time, the boat returns, and you hop back on, reconnecting with some people and activities you once enjoyed but had to give up for one reason or another.
KUNDALINI YOGA AND CARRIE ANNE MOSS
"I feel this is what happened with my Kundalini practice. A few years ago, I celebrated a special birthday, and my gift to myself was a one-year subscription to a Kundalini program offered by Carrie Anne Moss. You can explore her website https://annapurnaliving.com.
As often happens with me, I stumbled upon her website by chance. Kundalini yoga had been on my radar for years, thanks to Maya Fiennes. I bought several of her DVDs, practiced on my own for a while, listened to the mantras, and became fascinated by the origins, the stories, and the kirtan, which is closely linked to Kundalini yoga.
YOGI TEA
I also recalled my encounter with the Kundalini yoga community over 20 years ago at an organic products exhibition in Nuremberg. It was there that I first saw beautiful, ethereal women and men dressed in white, wearing turbans, promoting YOGI TEA.
Back to Carrie’s program. To say that her program was inspiring, healing, soothing is an understatement. Her aim was and I am sure it still is to create communities supporting each other, making better choices in life around kundalini yoga and improving the lifestyle. I do recommend you having a look, reading the blog and maybe going the programs.
But life happened and I stopped the practice continuing to listen to kirtan, chanting the mantras but this was all.
LIFE FORCE ACADEMY
It took another life crisis for me to reconnect with Kundalini yoga, and I have to thank
, who wrote about it in one of her blog posts a few months ago. I signed up for the '2 weeks for $1' program with the Life Force Academy and continued because I loved the atmosphere and Jai Dev’s gentle energy and teaching style.Starting with a gentle class was exactly what I needed. I plan to keep choosing soft, root chakra-focused programs because that's what I require at this moment.
Kundalini yoga helps me connect with the part of myself that needs compassion, a reminder of the strength I have, and the opportunity to learn and relearn the power of breath, resilience, and movement repetition through mantras and being part of a like-minded community.
To say it’s easy to get on the mat regularly would be a lie. When you’re feeling down or depressed, everything feels like trying to lift a mountain with one hand, and the urge to give up is always lurking in the background. I had to learn to accept that sometimes I could only manage 15 minutes before feeling too weak or broken. But the next day, I’m back on the mat, again and again.
ROOT CHAKRA AND DRAWING
As a highly visual person who loves creative self-expression, I decided to challenge myself to create a chakra-inspired drawing every evening for two weeks, combining neurolines with symbolism, just to see what would unfold.
What I discovered is that, much like practicing the same yoga routine daily, each experience is different—your energy shifts, and so do the sensations in your body. The same applies when drawing, especially focusing on a chakra, like the root chakra. The drawing may follow the same structure, but it feels entirely different. The lines carry different energy, and the choice of colors changes based on how you feel—whether you're overwhelmed by emotion, out of balance, content, or upset.
But the key is simply showing up. Open the journal, and start drawing... let whatever needs to come, come. Often, words accompany the lines. Just document everything without judgment, without trying to analyze—simply download it from the universe. And when you’re done, close the journal.
Until next time, be well

INSPIRATION CORNER
An extraordinary TV series I watched this week and couldn’t believe my eyes. The topics are so current and yet it was filmed in 2007. Watch it! You will not believe it!
Chanting - it is so soothing at the end of a long day!
@Marc Arginteanu thanks so much for sharing
