Day 1
Ready for another week of line drawing and stories from .. the battlefield. One of the most exciting things for me when I am faced with an open, white new page is the infinite possibilities. I like the unknown, I like the peace one feels when the present part and future becomes one and the only thing that matters is the pen and the paper
Day 2 week 2 intuitive drawing challenge continues! It is a beautiful morning in my part of the world! It s cold, sunny and I decided to pick up a few of my gelli plate prints, clip them together and draw on top of them. The words “thee way you think is the way you live came to my mind”. Well this is something to explore in a blog post and turn the words upside down a bit! In the meantime - I need to get ready for a trip to Birmingham and I hope to continue my good habits - journalling, drawing, meditation!
Day 3 week 2 there is nothing like dedication is it? Much to my surprise I was able to draw while in the car in my way to another assignment in the north of England! A pleasant experience musing about the job ahead of me!
Day 4 intuitive drawing! Late last night I couldn’t sleep! More likely late last night was very early this morning! I have dealt with many people from many backgrounds, many countries. I have never experienced so much aggression, entitlement, rude behaviour as the one coming from the “white man”. How can you put them in their place when they are your so called colleagues and you work in a lawless environment. To be continued!
Day 5 and random thoughts while drawing a bit …..Yesterday I was writing about rude and entitled people! What makes them like that? I wonder! It has nothing to do with belonging to a social or economic group but with basic education! Today I had the opposite .. while having breakfast in a hotel I recommend, Jury in Birmingham I had the pleasure of talking to a few waitresses who were Romanians. It was a pleasure to use the polite form Dumneavoastra, the equivalent of Usted in Spanish. I wonder if people who live in countries where this form of addressing each other is nonexistent are more likely to be obnoxious and rude … hmmm something to think about …
Day 6 intuitive drawing challenge Sometimes one has to do everything one can to stay calm. We have a saying in Romania … beautiful country, a shame about the people! One can apply the same words on the neighbours, job environment, gym environment and so on. The words were STAY CALM. Writing the words and applying Neurographica principles is one such technique enabling you to step inside a bubble, close it and simply allow yourself to avoid taking in other people’s toxic energy! What can I say I had to even write the words on my hand in order to stay grounded. And this was the last entry in my mini journal full of intuitive line drawings based on words.
Day 7 week 2 While creating this drawing my thoughts wondered far far away! The other day I was listening to an interesting interview between an enlightened psychologist and an alternative journalist. They were talking about the anti depression medication and the lies around it. Why do people take them? Apparently chemical imbalance is a lie and I am tempted to believe it. People take them because of life circumstances .. if the life circumstances don t change they will never get better but will have to deal with the myriad of side effects plus become dependent on them. So instead of having one problem they get a hell of a lot more! Musings with a pen and a few felt pens in the mix.
What a fun journey of creativity and introspection you are on. Thanks for taking us with you on the ride!
