The South Downs - original painting
I am not going to deny that being interviewed was an uplifting, soul affirming experience!
So many memories suddenly came into my mind, so many smells, places, people! I was able to capture a fraction in the hour long conversation with Isaya and the beauty of it all is that it made my “grey cells” jump up and down with joy, it made me want to tell more stories and encourage you the reader, listener to tell this story about your personal journey with colours.
You see, there is a whole world in a colour, a myriad of life encounters, of joy and sadness, of objects which suddenly come into your mind and open doors within yourself, spaces you forgot all about and suddenly you can reclaim and in doing so, heal!
There are many theories about colours, books written about them, lectures delivered. What I encourage you to do is to raise your own awareness around colour… your reaction to the colours, the memories it triggers, the stories that come to your mind.
Until next time, stay sane, stay healthy, surround yourself with colour!
If you are searching for creative ways to bring purpose, balance, healing and joy to your life this is the place for you. My aim is to share life lessons, the power of art, creativity, storytelling in bringing meaning, balance to our lives, and in the healing we so crave for. What I know is that life is far from being linear, that often we experience trauma and at times, we stay locked in a cocoon of numbness barely surviving emotionally, but still marching. It could very well be that you feel as if your voice is nowhere to be seen, it could very well be that you don’t know who you are anymore. This publication will provide support through sharing life stories, creative prompts, writing prompts and ways to reclaim our voices and our lives.
